Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): NdeI--2.75; HindIII--2.75; EcoRI--2.75. Expression vector based on a bacteriophage T7 RNA polymerase/promoter system and allowing visual detection of inserts using lacZalpha complementation. The T7 promoter sequence has a T->A mutation at the 5' end that does not appear to affect expression.
